Husky YMCA After School Program

What is the best deal in town? It is the FREE Husky YMCA After School at Avalon Middle School.

The goal of the Avalon Middle School After School Program is to provide a fun, positive, constructive, and safe atmosphere for our students. Activities are conducted to assist students with educational and social needs and to interact with positive role models while spending their time with friends after school.  

We offer an exciting choice of clubs including Homework Club, Club FYT, Computers, Cooking, Team Sports, Art Club, Drama, Show Choir, Guitar, School of Rock (Jazz Band), Music Factory, Color Guard, Scrapbooking, Yearbook Club, FCAT Prep, Odyssey of the Mind, Battle of the Books & Board Games, and The Husky Flight Academy (basketball skills training).

All of our counselors are faculty members who already know our students and are looking forward to working with them outside the classroom setting.

The program operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 4:00-6:00 and Wednesdays 3:00-6:00. Please be aware that students not picked up by 6:00 pm will incur a $1.00 per minute late fee. This fee must be paid prior to your child returning to the club.

Applications for the Avalon Middle School YMCA After School Program will be sent home on the first day of school and are also available in the main office.
